Just two practices into the season, Jim Larrañaga can’t help but be excited.
His Hurricanes, who made a run to the National Invitation Tournament championship game earlier this year, are coming off one of the more memorable seasons in school history. They return seven contributors from a 25-win team that Larrañaga believes was one Angel Rodriguez injured wrist away from being “spectacular.” On top of that, Miami has added key newcomers in freshmen Ebuka Izundu and Anthony Lawrence, along with a solid defensive presence in transfer Kamari Murphy.
