Jim Larranaga will continue to coach Miami Hurricanes for foreseeable future

Miami Hurricanes Athletic Director Blake James said that he wants Larranaga to coach for “many more years” at Miami. The past season didn’t live up to the preseason expectations that the Hurricanes had.

Miami began the season with the nation’s 13th ranking. Before the season even began the Hurricanes had a tumultuous beginning.

Prized Freshman Lonnie Walker suffered a tear of his MCL in July. That kept him off the court until practice began officially in October. It took Walker until January before he consistently became the player he was expected to be.

On September 26 assistant coaches from Arizona, Auburn, Oklahoma State and USC were arrested and charged with bribery bt the FBI.
