Just before he’s set to arrive on campus at Miami, 2021 signee James Williams received yet another accolade for his high school career. On Thursday, Williams was named the Gatorade Florida Player of the Year.
During his senior season at American Heritage, Williams was the heart and soul of one of the best defenses in the entire country, and helped lead his team to a state championship. Just to give you an idea of how good the American Heritage defense was, during the season where they went 11-2 and won a title, they allowed just 11 points per game.
