‘Portal U’ struck again on Thursday evening as former-UCLA linebacker/defensive end Jaelan Phillips announced he was taking his talents to South Beach.
Phillips’ official commitment was made known to the public on Twitter. “The Wait is Over...Officially a HURRICANE. I can’t wait to get to work, #TNM is going to be a problem for the opposition Thank you God for giving me a second chance the COMEBACK is going to be something serious.”
As the nation’s top overall recruit in 2017 (247), Phillips brings exceptional talent to the Hurricane defense. Standing at 6’5 and 253 pounds, Phillips also adds great size and athleticism to the position group.
