CORAL GABLES — The Miami Hurricanes may be missing several key players when UM begins it’s ACC schedule against North Carolina on Saturday.
Several players are dealing with lingering injuries, UM coach Mario Cristobal said Monday. He said he would have a fuller assessment of the injuries later in the week.
Offensive tackle Zion Nelson, who had offseason knee surgery, missed Miami’s loss to Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 24. Cristobal said Monday that the fourth-year junior had a “setback” that may keep him out of this week’s contest, as well.
Nelson sat out the Hurricanes’ season opener against Bethune-Cookman before playing 20 snaps against Southern Miss and 41 against Texas A&M.
