Immaturity or character issues? Hurricanes' Mark Richt believes in his young QBs, despite spate of suspensions

When the Hurricanes boarded the team buses that took them to the airport last Friday ahead of their game at Virginia Tech, freshman Jarren Williams wasn’t there.

The youngest of Miami’s scholarship quarterbacks didn’t travel to Blacksburg, missing the trip as he served a one-game suspension for violating an undisclosed team rule.

Williams is the third of Miami’s four scholarship quarterbacks to deal with a suspension this season, following redshirt freshman N’Kosi Perry, who missed the Hurricanes’ opener against LSU in Arlington, and fellow redshirt freshman Cade Weldon whose suspension forced him to miss Miami’s games against Florida State, Virginia, Boston College and Duke.
