Hyde: Miami's controversial win could lead to an even greater return

The first time Corn Elder saw the furor he created was on the bus ride out of Duke's stadium as Saturday night became Sunday morning. Someone pulled up the kick return from heaven on a cell phone. Players gathered around.

"Unbelievable," Elder thought as he took the last of eight laterals and ran 93 yards to beat the Blue Devils.

By Tuesday, he estimated that he saw the video more than 100 times, which might rival the angriest of Americans' total on the play, too. Elder's feelings hadn't changed.

"I'm still in shock about it," he said.
