Miami will be down another wide receiver for the near future.
Sophomore wide receiver Jacolby George is out due to injury, a source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Monday.
The Athletic reported that George suffered a broken thumb during Miami’s loss against Texas A&M.
George, who returned from a two-game suspension on Saturday, had three catches for 41 yards in the defeat. His longest reception, a 24-yarder, set up the Hurricanes’ best shot at a touchdown in a game where they only scored on field goals.
“Certainly, he helped us in the game some but has a lot of stuff to improve upon as well,” UM coach Mario Cristobal said at a press conference Monday.
