CORAL GABLES — Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke stepped onto the field at Miami’s indoor practice facility with more than two dozen NFL representatives in attendance for UM’s Pro Day on Monday.
But the scouts were not there to see him. They were there to take a look at his friend and former teammate, tight end Will Mallory. Van Dyke was throwing passes to the former Hurricane so Mallory could show his skills to the scouts.
“It was cool just to get out there, show my arm a little bit,” Van Dyke said Tuesday.
