The concerns around the Hurricanes’ wide receivers group during spring and fall practices came back to haunt Miami on the team’s road trip to Texas A&M.
The passing game didn’t click in the 17-9 loss, and now the Hurricanes are dealing with depth issues after sophomore Jacolby George suffered an injury in the defeat. So as No. 25 Miami prepares for Middle Tennessee State on Saturday, they are looking for players who can step up in the passing game.
“[We] like having the best guys on the field, and until we find out who that is, we’ve got to keep trying whatever we need to to get those guys on there,” coach Mario Cristobal said.
