Hurricanes running back Mark Walton has been suspended from Miami's football team after he was arrested Saturday morning, the school announced.
The Associated Press reported Walton was arrested for driving under the influence and a source told the Sun Sentinel that other charges were being investigated as well, including a potential charge of impersonating a police officer.
No police report or arrest affidavit was immediately available early Saturday afternoon.
"We are aware of the situation regarding Mark Walton and we have taken immediate action by suspending him from the team," said Blake James, Miami's athletic director.
