MIAMI GARDENS — Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke left the Hurricanes’ game against Duke in the second quarter on Saturday.
The Miami third-year sophomore was sacked on a third-down play with 8:58 remaining in the first half, fumbling the ball and going down with an injury. Van Dyke left the game and went to Miami’s locker room with the Hurricanes trailing 14-7.
Van Dyke is doubtful to return Saturday, according to WQAM.
Van Dyke was 11 of 16 for 81 yards and a touchdown when he left the game.
Van Dyke has 1,737 passing yards this season with 10 touchdown passes.
