Miami Hurricanes coach Manny Diaz said quarterback D’Eriq King is “roughed up pretty good” after injuring his right shoulder in UM’s loss to Michigan State on Saturday. Diaz’s comments came during his weekly radio appearance on 560-WQAM.
King momentarily went to the locker room to get his right shoulder looked at after being tackled hard and landing on his throwing shoulder during Miami’s first drive of the third quarter.
He didn’t miss a snap and led a 10-play, 75-yard drive that ended with 14-yard Charleston Rambo touchdown reception on Miami’s next drive, with King completing 6 of 9 pass attempts for 74 yards on the scoring possession.
