But Miami turned it around in the back half of the season, winning five of its last six games — and the one loss coming on a last-minute score by Florida State — to salvage what was poised to be a disastrous season.
The Hurricanes will need to pull off a similar turnaround this year if they want to secure a bowl berth. Miami (3-4) has a difficult schedule ahead, with road games at Virginia, Georgia Tech and Clemson and home matchups with Pittsburgh and rival Florida State.
