Hurricanes’ offensive line woes helped doom offense against Middle Tennessee State

The Hurricanes’ offensive line held its own in a loss to Texas A&M, but they struggled against what was expected to be a weaker defense from Middle Tennessee State.

Miami allowed four sacks and could not achieve much in the running game in its 45-31 loss on Saturday.

“They out-physicaled us,” center Jakai Clark said. “They were better than us up front. That’s the end of the story. They were just better than us up front.”

Miami’s running game suffered the most from the struggles on the line. The Hurricanes entered the game averaging 218 rushing yards through two wins and a loss.
