Hurricanes’ offensive line putting emphasis on versatility

With less than a month until the 2022 football season begins, the Miami Hurricanes offensive line is still under construction as the team goes through its second week of training camp.

New offensive coordinator Josh Gattis and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal have been switching players in and out of different positions all across the line as they search for who will be best equipped to take up a starting spot. There are several variables still in play as starting left tackle Zion Nelson is out several weeks after undergoing a minor procedure on his knee.

“Right now, we’re still trying to figure out what’s our best five,” Gattis said following practice on Monday.
