Hurricanes move up one spot in Associated Press poll

Miami got a small boost in the Associated Press poll after routing overmatched Bethune-Cookman in their season opener.

The Hurricanes moved up one spot in the poll to No. 15 after the 70-13 victory.

Miami is the second-highest ranked team in the ACC, behind No. 5 Clemson. Pittsburgh (No. 17), North Carolina State (No. 18) and Wake Forest (No. 23) are also ranked.

Rival Florida jumped from unranked to No. 12 ahead of Miami to become the top-ranked team in the state following its win over then-No. 7 Utah. Another rival, Florida State, is unranked but earned 42 votes.
