More than once since being named Hurricanes coach last month, Manny Diaz has said that one of his biggest priorities ahead of the new season is finding ways to make Miami’s quarterback play better.
He hired former Alabama quarterbacks coach Dan Enos as the Hurricanes’ new offensive coordinator. He aggressively pursued two high profile quarterback transfers and landed one, former Ohio State signal caller Tate Martell.
Now Diaz has added another young arm to the mix.
Peyton Matocha, a three-star quarterback prospect out of St. Thomas High School in Houston, became the latest prospect to join Miami’s 2019 recruiting class, announcing his commitment Saturday night on Twitter.
