For the first time, the team held a practice in their very own indoor facility, the workout coming only days after athletic director Blake James said UM had been granted a temporary certificate of occupancy that would allow the football team to use the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility while work was continuing on the building.
“It’s a great day for the University of Miami, for our athletic program, for the young men in our program, [and] for all the people who have a passion and want to see us win ACC and national championships,” James told the Sun Sentinel, Associated Press, and Palm Beach Post.
