The Hurricanes took on Stetson in their second game of the season Friday night. Miami was looking for their 50th win in program history over the Hatters and a boost heading into an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game against Purdue next Tuesday.
Miami got out to a quick start with a 12-5 lead with 15 minutes left in the half. With multiple injuries in the front court, including the continued unavailability of Earl Timberlake, the Hurricanes played three guards for most of the game again. Chris Lykes got off to a quick start, scoring eight points in his first five minutes.
