After a disappointing 2022 season, the Miami Hurricanes parted with offensive coordinator Josh Gattis, the school announced in a press release Friday.
Gattis’ departure is the second change to Mario Cristobal’s staff after Miami ended its disappointing season with a 42-16 home loss to Pittsburgh in November. Former quarterbacks coach Frank Ponce departed to become the Appalachian State offensive coordinator earlier this month.
The Hurricanes, who went 5-7, missed bowl qualification for the first time since 2007.
Under Gattis, who won the 2021 Broyles Award as the nation’s top assistant coach, the Hurricanes finished 97th nationally in scoring offense with 23.
