Throughout the spring, Miami’s new coaches have made it clear more than once.
They’re not afraid to challenge the Hurricanes or shy away from talking about what this team needs to get better. That continued Tuesday with defensive coordinator Manny Diaz noting specifically that one of his units – the defensive backfield – is far from where he wants it to be.
Miami’s defense gave up several big plays Saturday including a 36-yard touchdown run by Trayone Gray, a 46-yard touchdown catch by tight end David Njoku and a pair of 40-plus-yard catches by Stacy Coley.
