Ahead of last week’s Orange Bowl matchup against Wisconsin, the Hurricanes knew one of their veteran defensive leaders — safety Jaquan Johnson — would return for his senior year.
Friday they learned another — cornerback Michael Jackson — would return for his final year of eligibility, too.
In a message posted on Twitter, Jackson, who was tied with Johnson for the team lead with four interceptions, wrote “I’m back,” and attached photos of himself with Johnson and fellow corner Sheldrick Redwine.
In a longer message posted along with the photos, Jackson wrote, “There aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am of the opportunity the University of Miami has provided me.
