The Hurricanes have rolled through the bulk of their regular season and proved themselves to be one of the nation’s top teams.
But Miami has hit a small slump the last two weeks, going 5-6 in their last 11 games and dropping two of their last three ACC series against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech on the road. With no midweek game this week, the Hurricanes (32-12), ranked sixth in the nation by Baseball America, are rested and will try to turn things around with a non-conference home series against North Dakota State that starts on Friday.
“First of all, we need to concentrate on playing better baseball,” Miami coach Gino DiMare said.
