It’s been an up-and-down season for punter Zach Feagles, and now, his time as a Hurricane has ended.
Just before kickoff of Thursday’s Pinstripe Bowl, Miami announced that Feagles — a sophomore — was leaving the program. A source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel he intends to transfer.
Feagles, a sophomore, served as Miami’s starting punter in 2017 but alternated punts with teammate redshirt junior Jack Spicer as both punters struggled at times before adopting a rugby style of kicking late in the year.
On his 30 punts this season, Feagles — the son of former Hurricanes punter and NFL veteran Jeff Feagles — averaged 38.
