Finally, the Miami Hurricanes will be getting their much-needed indoor practice facility.
And the school – one of only a handful in major college football without such a building – announced it was coming with the kind of style and glitz that can only come at Miami.
During an invitation-only event at the luxurious Fontainebleau Hotel on Friday, the school unveiled the renderings for the $30 million project and revealed the lead donors who are helping make the facility possible. South Florida real estate magnate Jeffrey Soffer and his siblings are giving the school about $14 million for the project in the name of their mother, Carol Soffer.
