The University of Miami is set to take the next step in upgrading its football facilities.
The City of Coral Gables will review plans for a new football facility and a parking garage on the UM campus on Friday, according to an application on the city’s website. UM submitted its application on Sept. 8.
“Our idea from jump street really was to build the forever home of University of Miami football, a football operations center, much like you see around the country,” Miami athletic director Dan Radakovich said in August.
The planned facility will be seven stories that includes “dedicated spaces for training, recovery, nutrition, and relaxation as well as support spaces for academic services, recruiting and professional development.
