Even though his first game back from a serious knee injury came nearly a year ago, it wasn’t until recently that Lawrence Cager truly began to feel like himself.
He appeared in 10 games last season for the Hurricanes, totaled 237 receiving yards and scored three touchdowns during Miami’s run to its first ACC Championship Game appearance, but things weren’t really clicking.
“Still at the end of the season, [I was playing] with some knickknacks here and there,” the 6-foot-5 redshirt junior said. “But you had to tough through it. But probably after the season, going into the winter, that’s when I really felt ready to go.
