It’s no secret the Hurricanes offense endured its share of struggles last year.
Despite that, one of the members of Miami’s offense — running back Travis Homer — earned an invite to the NFL combine and in the months since, has worked to prove he can be an asset to an NFL team.
Saturday, it was Seattle that decided to give Homer his opportunity, selecting the former Hurricanes and Oxbridge Academy standout in the sixth round with the 204th pick.
Homer, who opted to bypass his senior year and enter the draft, was the Hurricanes’ leading rusher last fall, was a two-time All-ACC second-team selection during his Miami career, earning that recognition in both 2017 and 2018.
