Former Miami Hurricanes QB Evan Sheriffs lands at Charlotte

Sheriffs lost out to Malik Rosier to be the Miami Hurricanes starting quarterback last season. Rosier started all 13 games. Sheriffs played in three games last season. He completed two passes in seven attempts for 16 yards.

Sheriffs played one series each against North Carolina and Pittsburgh. He came in against the Tar Heels after Rosier was injured and against the Panthers because of ineffectiveness. He also went one for two for 16 yards in the 2017 season opener against Bethune-Cookman.

Sheriffs is scheduled to graduate from Miami this spring. He will do so in three years with a 3.
