Misery loves company. Or, more accurately, I should say misery loves miserable company. That motto has rung true this past week as it truly seems like a race to the bottom for what was once the upper echelon of the state of Florida’s college football programs.
For only the fifth time in 43 seasons, the big three of the state’s college football teams - Miami, Florida, and Florida State - all lost on the same day. On the eve the tripartite deficit, one of the state’s rising programs, UCF, dropped a 42-35 shootout to a middling Louisville team.
