The Miami Hurricanes policy throughout the athletic program is to not allow any players from any of their sports teams to transfer to another ACC school or future non-conference opponents during that athlete’s window of eligibility. Miami’s five non-conference opponents in the next two seasons are Florida, LSU, FIU, Toledo, Central Michigan.
The announcement of the decision to appeal Miami’s decision was made by Hurricanes Athletic Director Blake James last Thursday according to ESPN’s Andrea Adelson. The decision has also upset Sheriffs high school who went to Twitter to call out Miami about their decision.
Sheriffs is from Jefferson, Georgia.
