Former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jacory Harris revealed several details from his up-and-down time at UM from 2008 to 2011 in an interview with Footballville earlier this month.
Harris delved into his sometimes-tumultuous relationships with his three offensive coordinators over four seasons at Miami and instances where he played through injuries that affected his play.
Harris ranks second in Hurricanes history in passing touchdowns (70) and third in passing yards (8,826) with a 60.1 completion percentage, but his career was also largely marred by the 48 interceptions he threw.
An early hindrance to Harris, he said, came in how Patrick Nix, his first college coordinator as a freshman in 2008, changed the offense from spread in the spring to pro-style that summer after Harris had success with it as an early enrollee out of Miami Northwestern, where he had a storied high school career that included a national championship in 2007 as a senior.
