What some like to call the four-letter network declared that the Miami Hurricanes recruiting class mirrored their season. It started early and fizzled late. Miami signed 19 players in December and four in February.
The traditional signing period was not all lost for the Hurricanes. One of ESPN’s examples was that four-star defensive tackle Jamarcus Chatman signed with Florida State instead of Miami. The Seminoles also added another four-star defensive tackle, Dennis Briggs who was considering Miami. Neither player ever committed to the U.
What they failed to mention is that the Hurricanes signed former Florida State commit, four-star wide receiver Marquez Ezzard from the Atlanta area.
