The report of the denial of Hernandez’s appeal by the NCAA was sent out via Twitter by Stadium’s Jeff Goodman. Hernandez’s attorney Jeff Setchen told the Stadium Channel that “the ruling is ‘tragic.'” The NCAA ruled that Hernandez and Christan Dawkins, who was a central figure in the FBI bribery scandal, had a contract.
Goodman continued in the Tweet by saying that “The NCAA determined that he and Christian Dawkins had a contract — without sufficient support in the record to substantiate that finding.” It was announced on December 17 that Hernandez hired Setchen to help him expedite his eligibility.
