Talented wide receiver Devonta Smith announced that he will make his commitment decision on August 15.
Four-star receiver Devonta Smith narrowed his list down to a four schools: Miami, Alabama, Nebraska and Mississippi State. Shockingly, LSU didn't make the cut for the Louisiana native. Smith stated that LSU's offense did not fit his style of play.
Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing close to 170 pounds, Smith is an athletic playmaker, with long arms.
In an interview with James Smith of the Times-Picayune, a New Orleans based newspaper, the Class of 2017 receiver stated that he was ready to make a decision, and move on to the next step in college football journey:
