Finally, all the members of Miami’s recruiting class are on campus.
More importantly for the Hurricanes, they’re all practicing.
Defensive tackle Jon Ford, a former standout at Dillard High, is enrolled in classes and participated in his first practice at Miami on Thursday morning. Unlike the rest of his teammates, he was not in full pads.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Ford will have to go through the NCAA-mandated five-day acclimatization process before he can participate fully in workouts.
How much he’ll do after that as he continues to learn Miami’s system is unclear, but there’s no doubt the Hurricanes are happy to have him.
