Miami dropped to 15-6 (3-3 ACC) after a terrible mid-week loss to the Columbia Lions. The Hurricanes managed to plate a meager two runs, one of which was off of an error, and played terrible in the field.
Columbia scored runs in the fourth, sixth, and eighth to top the Hurricanes. In the fourth Freddy Zamora dropped a fly out which allowed a runner to reach. The runner eventually scored on a two-out single to center. The sixth saw two runs score when Slade Cecconi walked home a run with the bases loaded and Greg Veliz followed by allowing an RBI single that also should have been caught.
