Thanks to an excellent sports reporting class that granted me access, back in January I had the opportunity to observe a practice with the women's basketball. A few weeks later I was privileged enough to sit down in head coach Katie Meier’s office to try and get to know her a little better. I came away from our meeting feeling like a child walking out of a toy store simply because of how refreshing it was to talk to her, and how engaging she is as a person. As I left, I thought to myself “How could anyone NOT want to play for that woman?
