CFB analyst ranks Tyler Van Dyke top 5 ACC quarterback

ACC Network football analyst Eric Mac Lain named Tyler Van Dyke as the fifth-best quarterback in the conference entering the 2023 season. Mac Lain ranks reigning ACC Player of the Year Drake Maye of North Carolina first, followed by Jordan Travis of Florida State, Riley Leonard of Duke and Cade Klubnik of Clemson.

Van Dyke is coming off an injured-plagued season in 2022. In 2021, Van Dyke had a breakout season. The ACC named Van Dyke the 2021 ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year. Van Dyke completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2021 with nine starts.
