Carson Commits to Canes Beck and Call

A day after Carson Beck officially entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal, the former Georgia Bulldogs starter is off the market, committing to the Miami Hurricanes.

Just yesterday, multiple outlets reported that Beck was expected to enter the portal and would automatically become the cycle’s No. 1 overall transfer player. Hours later he did just that with a “do not contact” tag which typically signifies that an athlete knows what school(s) they are looking at.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel tweeted that “Miami looms as the favorite” to land Beck as the Hurricanes return only two scholarship quarterbacks in Emory Williams and Judd Anderson and expect incoming freshman Luke Nickel, the USA Top 100 National Player of the Year to be on campus when classes begin on January 13th.
