CanesHoops Recruiting Could Get an Instant Boost from this Rising Star

With the impending graduation of Angel Rodriguez following this season, the Miami Hurricanes basketball team will see its point guard depth greatly diminished. With Ja’Quan Newton a potential breakout early-entry candidate in 2017, finding a 2016 recruit to learn at his hip and be ready to take over soon after is a top priority. With two other targets committing elsewhere, the Canes are hopeful that Tyson Carter, one of this summer’s rising stars, will fill the void. StateofTheU had a chance to talk with Carter after his recent official visit to Coral Gables.

A Starkville, Miss., native, Carter played coy when asked if he had any leaders.
