'Canes trying to stay even-keeled as FAU embraces excitement

For the second straight week, the Hurricanes are playing an upstart in-state opponent.

And that means that for the second straight week, Miami's players and coaches have found themselves answering questions about being the overwhelming favorite, the hunted looking to avoid an upset.

After dispatching Bethune-Cookman in their opener, the Hurricanes now turn their focus to FAU, which hasn't bothered to try and downplay what this matchup means to its 15-year old football program.

The Owls, looking to bounce back after dropping their opener to Tulsa in overtime, will host Miami for the first time. And the Owls — many of whom hail from South Florida, just as the Hurricanes do — are looking to shock the college football establishment with a win over the powerhouse program 52 miles to its south.
