The Miami Hurricanes are one of the most recognizable teams in college football. And yet, for all their storied tradition, they managed to make a little bit of history on Tuesday night.
For the first time, the Hurricanes took to their Greentree Practice Field under the glow of six new light towers that Miami coach Al Golden says the team will try to use at least five times throughout camp.
The school installed four new light towers this summer and added lights to two dual-sided towers bordering Cobb Stadium, home of the Hurricanes soccer team. Though the lights have been lit on some early mornings since camp began, they got their first official use for the Hurricanes’ second practice of the day on Tuesday.
