During last month's ACC Kickoff event in Charlotte, Hurricanes coach Mark Richt said he already expected Miami's Sept. 17 game at Appalachian State to be a challenge for his team.
One reason? The hostile crowd the Hurricanes will face, a crowd that gobbled up tickets as soon as they went on sale.
Early Tuesday afternoon, Appalachian State announced that tickets for the game sold out in under an hour. Kidd Brewer Stadium, home of the Mountaineers, seats 23,150 after undergoing three separate expansion projects since 2007.
