The Hurricanes hosted some of the state’s top high school football prospects on campus Saturday for one of their “Junior Day” events and as one might have expected, it turned in some good results.
Miami and coach Mark Richt — who was celebrating his birthday Saturday — got verbal commitments from Miami Carol City teammates Randy Russell and Camron Davis, who both shared their decisions on Twitter.
“It’s a great feeling to know that my mom will not have to pay a DIME for my college tution,” Russell wrote in an image he posted on Twitter.
