As Miami moves forward with the process of looking for its new football coach, athletic director Blake James announced Monday they school has both hired a search firm and named an advisory search committee to help in the process.
Former Hurricanes greats Vinny Testaverde and Jonathan Vilma, as well as Board of Trustees members Hilarie Bass, David Epstein and Steve Saiontz are all on Miami’s search committee, which also includes deputy athletic director Jennifer Strawley.
The group will get help from Korn Ferry, a search firm that has assisted several major college football programs including Michigan and Texas, which according to USA Today paid the firm $266,990 to help with the search that culminated in the hire of Charlie Strong.
