Last November, the Hurricanes traveled to Gainesville and stunned a then top-10 ranked Florida team that hadn’t lost on its home floor in 33 games.
Now, the rivalry shifts south to Coral Gables, with Miami announcing a December 8th matchup at the BankUnited Center on UM’s campus.
The game, set for a 7 p.m. tip, will be shown on ESPN2.
It will be the first time Florida plays at Miami since a Dec. 22, 2005 matchup in which the Gators defeated the Hurricanes 77-67. While Florida leads the all-time series 45-23, the Hurricanes hold a 16-15 edge over the Gators when playing at home.
