For years, Virginia Tech has used solid special teams play to frustrate opponents.
So with the Hokies coming to town – and Miami having struggled on special teams in the past – the Hurricanes are trying to make sure their kicking game can handle the Hokies’ pressure.
Virginia Tech has already scored a special teams touchdown once this season when Anthony Shegog scored on a 15-yard blocked punt return in the Hokies’ 51-24 win over Purdue.
The Hurricanes would like to make sure the Hokies don’t add to that Saturday.
