Hurricanes defensive coordinator Manny Diaz has, through the first week of camp, seemingly energized a Miami defense that has faced plenty of scrutiny over the course of the past four seasons. On Thursday – a day after his unit forced nine sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception in Miami’s scrimmage on Wednesday – he gave an assessment of where his unit stands. Here are his thoughts after speaking with reporters.
On the possibility of young players seeing increased playing time:
